Christmas 2009 -- Laughing Chef cooking up a storm

I love Christmas and I mean who doesn't with it's tinsel and gift wrapping and above all cooking and packaging up delightful treats to then be eaten.
But above all I love family time at Christmas the need to spend time with loved ones and sing songs and sit around a beautiful table on Christmas day full of delicious dishes.
I always love baking prior to Christmas Day it is just something that just feels like I know Christmas is coming when I whip out the Gingerbread cookie cutters and start buying plain flour in bulk.
This year I resigned from my job as Optus computer person and followed my dream of cooking so my good friend at Optus Matt wrote up a Christmas order form as sort of "for fun",he then emailed it to me where cut a long story short I emailed it my team members and friends and before I knew it I had $900 worth of orders.
Then it hit me that I "Laughing Chef" must make and package these orders so nervous and excited I did.
Well after working for 7.6 hours at Optus I would arrive home full of excitment to cook and then commence on labels, and packaging. It overall lasted 2 weeks of cooking (piping royal icing on a Gingerbread house at 1:50am) and packaging. Then all the lovely treats when to their respective owners.
To be honest I didn't care how much money I made to me to be able to cook and get into bed exhausted from cooking was the best feeling in the world.
Thank you to everyone that purchased treats from Laughing chef in 2009 and I have attached some pictures for you all to see.
Stay tuned for my Gingerbread recipes and most importantly my January Order form and amazing treats for Australia Day , Valentines Day and who can forget Easter :)
